'The Worst Generation' is a satirical tv sitcom pilot, in the vein of 'It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia' and 'Workaholics,' that brings you into the minds of five oblivious 20-somethings that epitomize what it means to be a millennial. Pilot Logline: After coming back from their “mental health day,” Sam and Jess get in over their heads with a big marketing client, Electron Cable, that is furious with the new “cord-cutting” fiasco. Bailey tries to promote Damian’s new World War II iPhone game with social media, but attracts the wrong audience with a misguided Hitler hashtag. Carter tries to solve everyone’s problem like he always does; with group pot-smoking sessions.
From writer AJ Ramson... "What inspired me to write this pilot was the generational strife that I have noticed both personally, and in the news. I have been keeping an eye out for headlines concerning millennials, because frankly, I find them very funny. These headlines range from “dooming cable companies” to “killing the napkin industry.” Each episode of “The Worst Generation” takes on modern millennial themes. For example, the storylines of the pilot episode focus on “cord-cutting” and social media. Future episodes will center around topics such as: Tinder, Seamless, binge-watching, sexting etc., but will be attacked with universal motivations that people of all ages can relate to."
